Training and Capacity Development

System Partners Limited has been keen to transfer knowledge to its clients’ staff by ensuring practical training is carried out at clients premises. This is done by seconding a staff member to the institution for the first few days of setting up Funsoft to carry out one-to-one hands on training.

Administrative staffs including the medical superintendent, the hospital administrator, doctors and nurses are trained. Where a person is available and is material for training as an administrator or trainer, he/she is adequately trained and becomes an in-house trouble shooter. More often extra training of staff is required due to frequent staff transfers according to government policy.

Our experience shows that it is very easy and it takes minimal time to train users who have their first experience with computers and software systems. Unfortunately most institutions do not have personnel that can be trained to take responsibilities higher than data entry clerks. After the training a complete list of all staff trained and signed by the staff is handed over to the hospital management. Also complete user, technical and administration manuals are delivered.

System Partners has trained more than 50 ICT administrators, 200 managers and more than 1000 users and operators of the HMIS system in various institutions. We also engage many students from many colleges as well as interns who want to gain various level of expertise in diverse areas of ICT development, deployment, management and customer care.

We have also trained a lot of our own staff in all disciplines and processes of system development, support, administration, training and quality assurance. The reason for our success is mainly due to the fact that that there is a good number of highly skilled system development and support personnel country-wide and abroad who can be reached at short notice to develop or offer support to client whenever such need arises.

System partners Limited also has an online knowledgebase system, online trouble ticketing for reporting anomalies and tracking the intervention requests while communicating to the client in a transparent and effective manner so as to reduce any incidents of down time.

We also boast an online forum for users with real-time chatting facility which can be used by users and system administrators to share experiences and troubleshooting tips.Documentation whether in hard copies or soft form is highly emphasized including project management documentation so as to allow for efficient references whenever there is need for clarification of information of whatever nature.
