In SPL’s continued effort to contribute towards quality health services, the company has successfully implemented over 100 systems in the health sector on request. In about 5 cases, we were involved in the replacement of previous systems that some institutions had developed in-house or purchased.
In all other cases completely new installations were carried out from scratch. The software actually did evolve through such installations as new facilities kept on asking for new menus or functionalities which were not requested by other facilities. The facilities where the system has been installed and is in use have recorded tremendous improvements in service delivery.
A very good best practice example is SPL’s collaboration/partnership with Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Machakos Level 5 Hospital, Thika Level 5 Hospital and Nakuru Provincial General Hospital, Enugu State University Teaching Hospital – Enugu State, Nigeria. In a span of a few months after Funsoft system installation, each hospital had more than doubled its revenues and can produce all the required reports directly from the Funsoft I-HMIS system.
